1:1 Devices

Allendale Elementary 1:1 Device Mission

Allendale's one-to-one device program will empower our students to become responsible life-long learners in a global society by personalizing learning and fostering critical thinking, communication, and creativity in a technology-rich, blended learning environment.

Allendale Elementary began our 1:1 device program six years ago with every student being issued an iPad. This year, Kindergarten, first, and second graders will use iPads and our third, fourth, and fifth graders will use Chromebooks.

  • iPads and Chromebooks are checked out to individual students for the school year.

Starting in the 2019-2020 school year, all Jeffco 5th and 9th graders will receive a district-issued learning device through the district 1:1 program. 5th grade students will use the same device until 9th grade when they will receive a new device. These 5th and 9th grade students will pay a $50/year Personalized Technology Use Fee This entire amount of this fee goes back to the district 1:1 program to cover the costs associated with sustaining the program: the device and protective case, digital learning tools, internet filtering, bandwidth, and additional support Accident Warranties can be purchased by families. Click HERE for information. Go to the TechforEd Community website for additional information about this program. All warranties for the 5th Grade chromebooks need to be purchased by May 20, 2020

Digital Citizenship

Every day good digital citizenship is reinforced by Allendale teachers and staff. Our Digital Teacher Librarian, Mrs. Martin, works with the classroom teachers to ensure that digital citizenship lessons are a part of lessons involving technology.
